Lent 2026 Small Groups Forming Now!

St. Catharine Small Groups

Life happens in circles, not rows

A small group is not just another meeting—it’s a place where you can belong.

Why Join a Small Group?

  • You’ll grow in faith for real life. It’s more than Sunday—it’s about Monday through Saturday: work, family, challenges, joys, questions.
  • You’ll find your people. Whether you’re new to church, long-time Catholic, young adult, parent, retiree—there’s a group where you fit.
  • You’ll contribute. Small groups aren’t just for receiving—they’re for giving your gifts, your time, your compassion.

What to Expect

  • A warm welcome: coffee, snacks, or simply comfortable conversation.
  • A time of reflection: often around a short scripture, topic, or question.
  • Location: often someone’s home, or a parish meeting room, or even virtually as needed.

Most Lent Small Groups will begin the 1st Week of Lent and run for the duration of Lent. Some may end earlier and some may continue into Easter.

This Lent, our Parish family is launching The Rescue Project during Lent 2026 in small group/home experiences! We will gather as a community for select sessions, but this powerful experience will be primarily run through parishioner homes. We have a handful of other study options available, but we encourage you to participate in The Rescue Project -- even if you have done it before. (Learn more about why below the registration boxes.)

Why The Rescue Project (...again)?

We passionately believe that the most urgent task is the compelling proclamation of the gospel, one that not only shares it in an attractive – and concentrated – way, but that also offers people a way of seeing reality, and of making sense of the world, history, and life that is vastly different from the story our modern culture tells.

Until this happens, the Christian faith is often experienced as a mere set of rules and disciplines, and simply going to Church isn’t likely to lead a person to embark on the great adventure that is following Jesus and continuing His mission of the rescuing of this world.

We don’t think most people have ever heard the gospel.

Who's Rescue for?

The Rescue Project is for anyone and everyone! It appeals to those who have been walking with Jesus for years, as well as those for whom Jesus is only a figure in ancient history.

What is it?

Simply put, an experience of the gospel surrounded by food, conversation and prayer.

The Rescue Project seeks to proclaim the gospel in a compelling and attractive way over eight weeks in a small group format. This experience is imbued with beauty, authentic humanity, and accompaniment.
