Lent 2026 Small Groups Forming Soon!
But we can't do it without you!
Our Parish family is launching The Rescue Project during Lent 2026 in small group/home experiences!
We will gather as a community for select sessions, but this powerful experience will be primarily run through parishioner homes.
Why The Rescue Project (...again)?
We passionately believe that the most urgent task is the compelling proclamation of the gospel, one that not only shares it in an attractive – and concentrated – way, but that also offers people a way of seeing reality, and of making sense of the world, history, and life that is vastly different from the story our modern culture tells.
Until this happens, the Christian faith is often experienced as a mere set of rules and disciplines, and simply going to Church isn’t likely to lead a person to embark on the great adventure that is following Jesus and continuing His mission of the rescuing of this world.
We don’t think most people have ever heard the gospel.
Who's Rescue for?
The Rescue Project is for anyone and everyone! It appeals to those who have been walking with Jesus for years, as well as those for whom Jesus is only a figure in ancient history.
What is it?
Simply put, an experience of the gospel surrounded by food, conversation and prayer.
The Rescue Project seeks to proclaim the gospel in a compelling and attractive way over eight weeks in a small group format. This experience is imbued with beauty, authentic humanity, and accompaniment.
What if I already participated in The Rescue Project? Are there other small group options?
We ask you consider one of the following options for your small group:
- Lenten Daily Gospel Reflections by Bishop Barron (book with daily reading and questions; no video)
- The Wilderness Within by Sr. Josephine Garrett, CSFN (book with daily reading and questions; weekly video)
- The Chosen (weekly video; no daily work)
- Have something else in mind? Just let us know in the form below!
At St. Catharine Church, we believe life is meant to be lived in community. Our small groups provide welcoming spaces where you can build meaningful relationships, explore faith in everyday life, and take your next step with Jesus together.
What are Small Groups?
These are gatherings of 6-12 people who meet regularly—often weekly or bi-weekly—to share life and faith in a more intimate setting. A small group is not just another meeting—it’s a place where you can belong.
At St. Catharine, we’re not meant to walk alone. We’re meant to gather, pray, learn, serve—and in the process, discover who we are in Christ and who we’re becoming.
